HIGUAIN PREFERS LIVERPOOL

Napoli top rated talent Gonzalo Higuain says he favours the move to Liverpool than the host of other options at his disposal. The striker who is 28 years old is in great form at the Serie A helping the club to the second spot in the league after scoring a record 36 goals in 35 appearances.

The player says he favours a move to Anfield over any of the alternatives he has. His excellent goal scoring abilities is required by many top clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

The player has always been linked to English teams but the move has always been thwarted by one thing or the other. He has also being linked to the Bundesliga, with the spielautomaten website reporting news of a bid that have since been down-played by Carlo Ancelotti.

The Daily Mirror reports that the former Real Madrid forward says he is flattered by the interest by the manager of The Reds, Jurgen Klopp and would be willing to join the German on Merseyside despite the lack of European football next season. The loss of Liverpool to Sevilla ended the hopes of Liverpool playing in the UEFA Champions league next season and finishing eight in the Premier League means no action in Europe.

According to the Automatenherz tipsters, Christian Benteke is most likely to leave after enduring a torrid season despite his 32.5 million Pounds move last summer. Daniel Sturridge is also unclear about his next move. The Gunners were the favourites to sign Higuain, despite past moves not going through until Higuain’s comments.

Napoli have set their price at €30m for Manolo Gabbiadini as the player has resolved to leave the club. The 24-year old got little opportunity this season as Higuain was everywhere. According to Corriere dello Sport, the player has now made up his mind to leave, especially after being ruled out of the squad for Euro 2016. Clubs interested in acquiring the player include Wolfsburg, Hamburg, West Ham, Stoke City, Inter and Fiorentina.

Former Liverpool player Michael Owen was recently named as the first official international ambassador of his former club.

Michael Owen’s playing career has seen him performing with a number of top clubs including: Real Madrid and Manchester United; however he is more known for being a Liverpool player as it’s the club where he spent 8 seasons and where the Englishman managed to make over 250 appearances.

After being named as the first ambassador of Liverpool, Owen displayed his joy as he said “As a Liverpool fan I am honored and delighted to have been asked to play this international role for the club.Liverpool FC is the world’s greatest football family and it’s great for me to be able to represent the club in an official capacity once again.”

Following his retirement from football on April of 2013, Michael Owen went on to become a pundit as he voices his thoughts concerning anything in the world of football and he is seen on a regular basis on BT Sport as a football commentator.

“The world champions at the moment, which is Germany, they’re really strong. And obviously France, who’s hosting the tournament, they definitely got a good team. It’s going to be one of those two. I dearly love England… It’s probably not our strongest team going into a major tournament that we have had, but it’s a team that should be competitive and should give anyone a good game,” Owen said as he stated that either Germany or France are going to emerge as the champions for the 2016 edition of the Euro’s.

Mario Balotelli worst Start in Season

Mario Balotelli’s disastrous start of his career as a player of Liverpool has even linked the Italian attacker to a move away from the Premier League club even though it has been less than a year since Balotelli joined Liverpool; he is already being rumored to be on his way out of Liverpool.

Mario Balotelli’s disastrous start of his career as a player of Liverpool has even linked the Italian attacker to a move away from the Premier League club even though it has been less than a year since Balotelli joined Liverpool; he is already being rumored to be on his way out of Liverpool.

A number of rumors and reports were suggesting that Rafael Benitez was interested in bringing Mario Balotelli back to the Italian League, Serie A and after having analyzed his disastrous start of the season with Liverpool it could have been a possible transfer but the Sporting Director of Napoli, Riccardo Bigon stepped up and shut down those rumors as he said that Napoli have no plans to sign Balotelli.

“It’s a rumor told in Spain, England and Italy but I don’t think it is a possibility. Nothing of what has been posted is true. Mario Balotelli is a really great player but he has been just signed by Liverpool who believes a lot in him. Best wishes to him in his English adventure.” Napoli’s Sporting Director, Riccardo Bigon told the media.

Even if somehow Rafael Benitez was indeed interested in signing Mario Balotelli and adding him to his squad at Napoli, Liverpool will probably give more time to Balotelli so he can get fully adjusted to life in his new club as it has been less than one year and not all hope has been lost in the Italian forward.

Napoli is currently sitting in 3rd place in the Italian League, Serie A with 21 points having been collected out of 11 matches. The team of Rafael Benitez has scored 20 goals in these 11 opening games of the season and signing a player such as Mario Balotelli who has a temperamental attitude and discipline issues could cause a problem in the dressing room of Napoli and it’s just too much of a risk for Rafael Benitez and his team.
