Whilst celebrating a last gasp goal, a fan asked questions him online where he said: “I support Milan and have a fondness for Manchester City, you shouldn’t get angry because of that.”

He then revealed why he threw his jersey to the ground when he played for Inter in the game against Barcelona. He said he was under pressure to impress even at a young age of 18 but that because of the mistakes he made the fans jeered him so he was “really upset.”

On him leaving AC Milan despite loving the club, he said president Berlusconi did not want him there despite the CEO Adriano Galliani’s preference. Berlusconi famously called the former Liverpool striker a “bad apple.”

On Inter Milan, Balotelli praised Mauro Icardi for his goalscoring prowess despite being young. When asked if he could return to the Serie A he agreed naming Napoli as his preference. After rediscovering his form at Nice, there are rumours that family affiliation could make him the replacement for Gonzalo Higuain.

Meanwhile Napoli are hoping to employ Arsenal goalkeeper WojciechSzczesny as a challenger to Pepe Reina during the summer. PetrCech and David Ospina are still at the Emirates so there is a slim chance that Szczesny would return to England.

Reina is 34 years already and his consistency is taking a hit. With Luigi Sepe and Rafael Cabral likely to exit the team this summer, Napoli want Szczesny as the new long term option. However, Roma, his employers for the last two seasons in a loan deal, would likely not give him up to a rival.

ARSENAL STILL WANT HIGUAIN

English Premier League side, Arsenal are really keen on Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuain. The Gunners want to add the prolific centre forward to their attacking options ahead of next season where they hope to challenge for the EPL after losing out to Leicester City this season, amidst a lot of voiced out frustrations.

Higuain is now unsurprisingly in demand ahead of the summer, with Arsenal recently linked with a move for him as they look to bring in an upgrade on the misfiring Olivier Giroud. Although the 28-year-old currently has a release clause of around £74million, Napoli’s desire to tie him down to a new contract could see him demand a lower buy-out fee included in the deal, according to Gazzetta dello Sport.

Higuain’s current contract expires in 2018, so he could be in a strong position to demand a lower asking price, with £46m thought to be his offer at the moment. Arsenal are not known for forking out big money for players, and a £46m move for Higuain would represent a club-record transfer for the Gunners. Still, it would make the prolific star a more realistic target than he may be at present, whilst also signalling that he’d be keen to keep the option of an exit open.
