PSG BATTLE MANCHESTER UNITED FOR FABIAN RUIZ THIS SUMMER

According to a report by 90 min, Napoli midfielder Fabian Ruiz is a wanted man in the ongoing transfer window, with two of the biggest clubs in Europe prepared to fight for his signature. Both Paris Saint-Germain and Manchester United are showing interest in the 26-year-old and could make a summer move for him, with PSG ready to shell out €25 million for him. Fabian Ruiz has been with Napoli since joining them from Real Betis in the 2018 summer transfer window. The Spaniard has been a regular for the Partenopei all these years, totalling 125 matches for them, in which he has scored 18 times and assisted 15 goals.

The Spanish international, however, has reportedly rejected Napoli’s approaches over a possible contract extension, with just a year remaining on his current deal. This means the Serie A giants would rather prefer to sell Ruiz this summer than risk him losing as a free agent next year.

Manchester United see Ruiz as an alternative to their primary transfer target Frenkie de Jong. Manchester United have been involved in a long transfer saga for the Dutch midfielder, who is yet to decide on his future. As a result, they have set their sights on Ruiz, initiating contract with the 26-year-old.
Barcelona are eager to sell some of their players to create space in the squad and wage bill to register their new signings. De Jong is reportedly the top earner at the club and the Blaugrana are eager to offload him in the ongoing window or have him take a pay cut. The club have reportedly made it clear to the Dutch midfielder that he needs to take a quick decision on his future, with Chelsea and Manchester United both showing interest. If De Jong does decide to stay at Camp Nou, he has no option but to take a pay cut.
