De Laurentiis will inject cash to Napoli if they qualify for the CL

Napoli is currently positioned in the 2nd spot of the Italian League, Serie A and there is only 1 more league match remaining before the 2015-16 season can be officially completed.

There is no chance for Napoli to win the Serie A title as Juventus was already crowned as the champions of Italy a few weeks ago and now the main task of Napoli is to secure a Champions League spot that will allow the Italian club to compete in the European competition for the upcoming season.

As a way to motivate Maurizio Sarri as his players even further for them to seal a Champions League position, the president of the club Aurelio De Laurentiis stated that he will be injecting the club with cash that can help them in signing top players during the summer transfer window.

"As far as the transfer market is concerned, if we go straight into the Champions League, then we are going to get very active indeed. Otherwise we will do the same as before. Let's just see first how we finish the season off." Napoli’s Aurelio De Laurentiis said.

In the Serie A, only the 1st and the 2nd place can assure a direct Champions League spot for the next season. The 2 teams that secure these spots in the Serie A will be able to compete in the CL without having to enter qualification stages anything of this nature but the club that snatches the 3rd spot will have to enter the qualifiers of the Champions League.

Aurelio De Laurentiis made it clear that this injection of cash will be dependent on whether or not Napoli can get into the Champions League.

There is only 1 match remaining for all the clubs in the Serie A and Napoli’s last match of the season is against Frosinone. If Napoli is able to secure a win in their final game, it will be enough for them to snatch the 2nd spot but if they lose, it can allow As.Roma to catch up and steal the spot away from Napoli.
