Marek Hamsik believes in Napoli title challenge

Marek Hamsik is amazed at the football that Napoli is playing at the moment. In an award ceremony, he was reported as saying that he is happy at Napoli and that there is no contact with Real Madrid. Indeed, there have been rumors that the Slovakian player might be leaving for the Spanish team in the summer.

Hamsik stated that there is no contact between him and Madrid’s coach Zinedine Zidane. He told the media that his immediate focus is with Napoli who he believes still have a chance in the title race. He believes that they need to win all their remaining matches and hopes that Juventus will drop points along the way. Marek Hamsik believes that Napoli should focus on their own results and not look at what the others are doing.

He added that Napoli has been playing some stunning football this season. Indeed, Marek Hamsik has been with Napoli since 2007 after signing from Brescia. So far he has made 395 appearances for the Italian team and scored 97 goals for them. He has won the Coppa Italia twice and the SupercoppaItaliana once with Napoli. Hamsik will be hoping that he could also clinch the title with Napoli in the current season. They are currently trailing Juventus by three points. He told reporters that he was enjoying the game with his teammates and that he has no interest of leaving Napoli. He declared that football is fun and should be enjoyed.

He also talked about his national team. He said that he was proud of what Slovakia has achieved and hopes that they will continue their good form in the Euro finals in France. He also congratulated his national team mates and believes that it is only by working together that they can achieve something on the international scene.
