NAPOLI TRIO WOULD COST FORTUNE

Aurelio de Laurentiis, the Television producer, owner and President of Italian football giants SSC Napoli has stated that his club’s star trio of Uruguayan Edinson Cavani, Slovakian Marek Hamsik and Argentine Ezequiel Lavezzi are worth well over € 200 million.

These three players form the very backbone of The Blues side and this was visible in the way they decimated the Chelsea defense in their 3-1 UEFA Champions League win over the English club at home in the Stadio San Paolo.

The tabloids have constantly linked the trio with moves away from the club and this is for the first time that the President has come out and put price tags on the heads of the players. Speaking at a radio show, de Laurentiis added that no one would be able to buy them and this price tag ensures their intention of holding on to the players who have helped SSC Napoli reach the heights that they are currently in.

Uruguayan striker Edinson Cavani had been linked with a move to cash rich Manchester City and Lavezzi had also been linked with a move to the Etihad Stadium and Chelsea whereas Manchester United and Italian giants AC Milan rumored to be interested in the signature of Marek Hamsik. But none of them made any concrete enquiry about any player and even before that has happened; de Laurentiis has managed to ward off much of the interest with the astronomical price tag.

Aurelio de Laurentiis also mentioned that the books of the club were balanced and he had no reason to sell any of his star players and he hoped that the three remained with SSC Napoli for many years and help them scale the heights that they once did when Diego Maradona wore the famous number 10 shirt at the San Paolo.
