Meanwhile, the arrival of defender Alessandro Gamberini to the club will strengthen the defence according to the manager Walter Mazzarri, who helped the club reached the last 16 stage of the Champions League.

"It's a great feeling arriving at such a great club. I'm really proud to be at Napoli. Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis is a very direct guy and someone who has great objectives. That's infectious as I now want to think big too," said Behrami. "Gamberini is a player who, like Goran Pandev, needs to be re-evaluated. He has some important experience and is an Italian international. Behrami is younger, a player who has always done well and has never thrown in the towel. He, like Gamberini, can cover a number of roles," Mazzarri said.
