HIGUAIN BUYOUT CLAUSE MUST BE MET

Italian giant, Napoli claim they can only give out their star centre forward, Gonzalo higuain, to another club if the €94m buyout clause is met. News outlet Gazzetta dello Sport claim the Serie A outfit are desperate to keep the goal ace, after a stellar season where he helped the club reach second place in the domestic league, just behind Juventus.

Higuain has become one of Europe's most coveted players after dazzling in the Italian top tier this season.

HIGUAIN PREFERS LIVERPOOL

Napoli top rated talent Gonzalo Higuain says he favours the move to Liverpool than the host of other options at his disposal. The striker who is 28 years old is in great form at the Serie A helping the club to the second spot in the league after scoring a record 36 goals in 35 appearances.

The player says he favours a move to Anfield over any of the alternatives he has. His excellent goal scoring abilities is required by many top clubs including Arsenal and Manchester United.

Napoli manager Rafa Benitez has said that he is delighted to have the Argentine striker Gonzalo Higuain at the club. Napoli recently spent around £ 35 million to bring the 25-year-old to Italy.

He has been at Real Madrid for the last seven seasons and Benitez is delighted to have a player of his stature at Napoli. Napoli were on the lookout for a big-name striker especially after the departure of Edinson Cavani, who has been a major contributor to the club's goals over the last few years. He was found to French club PSG for £ 55 million.
